Department: 01220 GCMG Rocky River Internal Medicine - Internal Medicine Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 40 Schedule Details: Monday‑Friday; 8:00‑17:00 Pay Range: $26.55 – $39.85 Education / Experience: Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology. Minimum six months of experience as a diagnostic Radiologic Technologist preferred. One year of experience with patients preferred. Licensure, Certification, and Registration: Registered and certified with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Registry eligible and must become registered within 12 months of hire. Certifications from other areas of specialty required. BCLS (CPR) certification. Essential Functions Adheres to general hospital standards, promotes a cooperative work environment, and utilizes communication skills and team building. Follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures and remains informed about changes. Participates in departmental in‑service and educational offerings and contributes to overall quality of services. Performs or assists in performing diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures in accordance with applicable state regulations for protection against radiation. Maintains coordination of activities with others to accomplish work objectives. Ensures readiness of emergency equipment and supplies and reacts appropriately to potential emergencies. Maintains knowledge of procedures, equipment, and systems used to perform job functions. Ensures availability of supplies and readiness of equipment. Ensures accurate patient records via correct data entry, validation, and archival of images. Performs and maintains competency for point‑of‑care testing as assigned, ensuring compliance with WFBH Point of Care policies and applicable regulations. Provides instruction, education and consultation to health care personnel and patients to promote improved quality of patient care. Provides emergency on‑call coverage after normal working hours as required. Provides age‑/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with age‑specific guidelines for the age groups served when participating in patient care. Performs diagnostic radiology procedures using appropriate equipment and techniques, serving a wide span of ages while limiting radiation exposure. Assists radiologists and other qualified staff physicians with invasive procedures, patient scheduling, clerical and image processing functions. Frequent exposure to infections, contagious diseases, bloodborne diseases. Exposure to hazardous anesthetic agents, body fluids and wastes. Subject to electrical and radiant energy hazards. Frequent exposure to radiation, flammable and explosive gas hazards. Exposure to various electro‑mechanical/power equipment. Possible exposure to odorous chemicals, specimens, housekeeping cleaning agents and chemicals. Subject to injury from moving parts of equipment. Exposure to unpredictable situations and unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries, illness). Handles emergency or crisis situations. Subject to long, irregular hours. Handles absentee replacement on short notice. Physical Requirements Standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching with arms, finger and hand dexterity, talking, hearing, seeing. Ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 20 lbs, 50 lbs, or 100 lbs as required. Compensation and Benefits Base compensation within the listed pay range based on qualifications, skills and experience. Potential premium pay for shift, on‑call, and other assignments.
