Medical Director (Addiction Medicine / Behavioral Health Physician)

Hourly Rate: $180 - $200/hour

New Season Treatment Centers is a national leader in addiction treatment and recovery services, helping individuals overcome Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) through Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), medical care, and behavioral health services.


We are seeking a Medical Director to provide clinical leadership, medical oversight, and physician supervision for our outpatient Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) in Richmond, Virginia.


What You'll Do

• Provide medical oversight for patient care and treatment services
• Conduct admission, annual, and follow-up medical evaluations
• Manage medication orders and supervise MAT treatment protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nursing staff
• Participate in treatment team meetings and quality improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with DEA, SAMHSA, HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, state, and federal regulations
• Support physician recruitment, training, and clinical staff development
• Serve as a clinical resource for addiction medicine and behavioral health best practices

Qualifications

Active Virginia Physician License (MD or DO)

Active DEA Registration

Active Medicare and Medicaid credentialing

Experience in Addiction Medicine, Substance Use Disorder (SUD), Behavioral Health, Psychiatry, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related field preferred

Knowledge of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), Opioid Treatment Programs (OTP), HIPAA, and regulatory compliance

Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills

Job or State Requirements

Physician License in the State of VA, 1 year addiction experience preferred, DEA with 2, 2N, 3, 4, & 5 Scheduling, Credentialed through Medicaid & Medicare
