What You'll Do

As the Resident Care Director, you'll serve as a key member of the community leadership team and oversee all clinical operations, ensuring exceptional care for every resident while supporting and developing a high-performing care team.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead and mentor nurses, caregivers, and medication staff
• Ensure outstanding resident assessments, care planning, and service delivery
• Oversee medication management and clinical compliance
• Maintain quality assurance and regulatory compliance standards
• Build, coach, and retain an engaged resident care team
• Develop staffing schedules and manage labor budgets
• Conduct care plan meetings with residents, families, and healthcare providers
• Partner closely with the Executive Director and department leaders to drive excellent resident outcomes
• Promote resident safety, employee engagement, and Arbor's culture of excellence
• Participate in Manager-on-Duty rotation and provide leadership support as needed

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in senior living, assisted living, long-term care, or related healthcare setting
• Experience supervising nursing and caregiver teams
• Strong knowledge of state regulations and clinical compliance
• Experience with staffing, scheduling, and labor management
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and participate in on-call responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience with quality assurance/performance improvement (QA/QI)
• Experience using electronic health records or applicant/resident management systems
