Our teams support Navy, Marine Corps, Joint, and Special Operations Forces by developing and delivering mission-focused training programs that improve operational readiness and force generation. We are seeking an experienced Curriculum Development Specialist to support Maritime Expeditionary Security Group ONE (MESG ONE) Force Generation and Training Programs. Position Overview The Curriculum Development Specialist is responsible for developing, maintaining, and modernizing Navy expeditionary training products supporting Maritime Expeditionary Security Force (MESF) personnel. Working alongside Learning Standards personnel, operational subject matter experts, and Government stakeholders, this position develops instructional materials that ensure training remains operationally relevant, standardized, and compliant with Navy learning requirements. This is a hands-on instructional systems development position that combines curriculum development with direct support to operational training modernization initiatives. Primary Responsibilities Develop and maintain Courses of Instruction (COIs), lesson plans, student guides, instructor guides, presentations, and practical exercises. Update curriculum to reflect changes in doctrine, tactics, techniques, procedures (TTPs), and operational requirements. Research Navy, Joint, and Department of War publications to ensure training products remain current. Collaborate with instructors and operational SMEs to validate curriculum effectiveness. Develop knowledge assessments, performance evaluations, and supporting instructional materials. Assist with curriculum reviews and revision boards. Support implementation of digital learning technologies and Learning Management Systems (LMS). Prepare graphics, multimedia products, and instructional support materials. Maintain curriculum configuration control and version management. Participate in course observations and collect student and instructor feedback to support continuous improvement. Required Qualifications Applicants should demonstrate experience that aligns with the Government's requirements, including: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of eight (8) years of military, Government, or contractor experience supporting curriculum development, instructional systems design, military education, or training management. For at least one of the two positions: significant fleet engineering expertise, ideally as an Engineering Duty Officer (EDO) or a rated Engineman (EN) at the E-6 level or above. Minimum of three (3) years of recent Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) experience in content planning and authoring instructional material (within the last five years). Minimum of five (5) years of Navy expeditionary relevant operational, training, and readiness experience. Minimum of three (3) years of recent Maritime Expeditionary Security Force (MESF) experience (within the past five years). Operational, training, and readiness experience with a warfare qualification, preferably within expeditionary communities. Experience developing military training materials using structured instructional design methodologies. Strong technical writing and editing skills. Experience supporting operational training organizations. Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications. Active SECRET security clearance. Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to candidates with experience supporting: Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) Maritime Expeditionary Security Group (MESG) Maritime Expeditionary Security Force (MESF) Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) Instructional Systems Design (ISD) Learning Management Systems (LMS) Adult learning methodologies Operational planning or expeditionary warfare communities Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools that improve curriculum development and instructional design Travel Periodic travel is required to support curriculum reviews, operational observations, training events, and Government meetings at CONUS and OCONUS locations.
