Job Summary

 

The Trade Compliance Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of SiTime's global trade compliance program. This role will serve as the company's primary operational trade compliance resource, ensuring compliance with U.S. export control, sanctions, and customs regulations while supporting business growth and customer responsiveness.

The successful candidate will partner closely with Legal, Customer Support, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Human Resources, and external trade compliance advisors to manage export classifications, restricted party screening, end-user reviews, licensing determinations, audits, training, and compliance process improvements. The position will also play a key role in implementing automation and scalable compliance processes as SiTime continues to grow. It is not necessary to meet all job requirements to be a qualified candidate for the position.

 

Responsibilities:

Export Compliance Program Ownership

• Manage and continuously improve SiTime's global export compliance program.
• Maintain trade compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess potential business impacts.
• Support compliance audits and corrective action initiatives.
• Maintain records necessary to demonstrate compliance with applicable regulations.

Export Controls & Licensing

• Review export transactions for compliance with U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR), OFAC sanctions programs, and other applicable trade regulations.
• Analyze end-users, end-uses, intermediaries, and destinations for export compliance risks.
• Conduct military end-user, military end-use, diversion risk, and other escalated reviews.
• Prepare licensing analyses and support export license applications when required.
• Provide practical guidance to commercial teams on export control requirements.

Product Classification

• Partner with Engineering to determine and maintain export classifications.
• Support classification reviews for new products and acquisitions.

Screening & Due Diligence

• Manage restricted party screening activities and investigate screening alerts.
• Support Know Your Customer (KYC) and diversion-risk assessments.
• Escalate significant compliance concerns to Legal leadership.

Operational Support

• Work closely with Customer Support to ensure compliant order processing.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal compliance inquiries.
• Assist with customs and import compliance matters as needed.

Systems, Automation & Analytics

• Support and enhance trade compliance systems and screening tools.
• Lead trade compliance automation initiatives and systems integration projects.
• Develop metrics, dashboards, and reporting for management.
• Drive process improvements that reduce manual effort while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Training & Culture

• Develop and deliver trade compliance training programs.
• Promote a culture of compliance through practical business engagement and cross-functional collaboration.

 

Qualifications & Requirements: 

• Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain, Engineering, Law, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in export compliance, global trade compliance, customs compliance, or related regulatory functions.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), BIS licensing requirements, OFAC sanctions regulations, restricted party screening, export classifications and licensing, and end-user and end-use controls.
  • Experience supporting technology, semiconductor, electronics, aerospace, or defense-related products.
  • Experience managing systems implementations.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, supply chain, and commercial organizations.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • English proficiency is required, including the ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and perform job responsibilities in a professional business environment.
  Preferred
  • Semiconductor industry experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Descartes or comparable trade compliance platforms.
  • Experience implementing compliance automation initiatives.

Compensation Range: 

 

At SiTime, we believe great work deserves great rewards. We offer a comprehensive and highly competitive compensation package designed to attract top talent. 

The annual base salary range for this role is $138,960 – $191,070. The final offer is determined by factors such as location, experience, education, and training.

In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a quarterly bonus tied to the achievement of innovation goals—reflecting our commitment to recognizing meaningful impact. We also offer equity grants, providing a meaningful opportunity to share in the company’s future growth and success.
