Job Description: GCP Data Engineer Position Title: GCP Data Engineer Location: Richmond, VA (hybrid 2-3x/week onsite) Contract Type: Long-term Contract
Overview: We are looking for a skilled GCP Data Engineer to support a strategic cloud migration and data modernization initiative. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, as well as exposure to Azure and Snowflake, as the organization transitions from a hybrid cloud environment to a GCP-first architecture.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines on GCP.
- Work with tools such as Dataproc, BigQuery, and Dataflow.
- Integrate data from Snowflake and Azure environments.
- Develop and manage APIs (e.g., FastAPI, Apigee) for data access and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data engineering needs.
- Ensure data quality, security, and performance across platforms.
- Strong hands-on experience with GCP (BigQuery, Dataproc, Dataflow).
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience with Snowflake and Azure data services.
- Familiarity with API development and integration.
- Strong understanding of data architecture and cloud migration strategies.
- Experience in healthcare or enterprise data environments.
- Exposure to hybrid cloud environments and data governance best practices.
