Junior Architect — Design & Project Delivery

Overview We operate in a collegial studio environment where team members participate in all aspects of project design, development and execution. Open discussion of architectural ideas and client solutions is valued and encouraged. Our staff works on a variety of projects, ranging in size and complexity from residential renovations and adaptive reuse to large-scale, mixed-use developments. Our team lives and works in the neighborhoods in which our projects are built. Partners and team members give back to the community through teaching and involvement in local professional, civic and volunteer organizations. This ethos of community involvement is encouraged at every level. Senior Project Architect (12–20 years) Experience focus: commercial, multi-family residential and mixed-use projects. Licensure: Architectural licensure required; LEED accreditation is a plus. Skills: design- and detail-oriented with strong communication, management, and organizational abilities. Excellent understanding of construction details, methods and materials. Software: AutoCAD required; Revit a plus. Responsibilities include day-to-day management of multiple projects and staff, coordination/presentations with clients, review agencies and the community, and coordination of design and construction documentation. Project Architect (Washington, DC) Join a team engaged in challenging urban mixed-use, multi-family, commercial and institutional projects in the greater Washington region. Requirements: strong design skills, ability to work with a creative, collaborative team; technically proficient with a focus on problem-solving and excellence. Requisites: proficient in Revit, SketchUp, Autodesk, Microsoft Office, and Adobe products. Licensure is preferred. Qualities: self-starting, flexible, able to mentor others and collaborate with principals on multiple projects for nationally known and local clients. Mid-Level Architect (3–5 years) Experience in commercial, mixed-use, and multi-family residential projects. Licensure and LEED/Fit accreditation are a plus; progress on AXP and ARE demonstrated. Skills: hard-working, detail oriented with strong communication and graphic abilities. Software: Revit and AutoCAD required; SketchUp, Rhino, rendering programs, InDesign and Photoshop are a plus. Responsibilities include working closely with the Project Architect on design and project documentation. Entry-Level Architect (1–3 years) LEED and/or Fit accreditation a plus. Requirements: hard-working, detail oriented with strong communication and graphic skills; knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD required. Software: SketchUp, Rhino, rendering programs, InDesign and Photoshop are a plus. Responsibilities include working closely with the Project Architect on design and project documentation.
