Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting a student with high needs in a school-based setting near Burton, TX. This specialized position offers a unique chance to make a significant impact through dedicated, one-on-one physical therapy in a close-knit educational environment. With a start date as soon as possible and extending through May 2027, you'll play an integral part in the student's growth and development.
Qualifications:
- Valid and active Texas Physical Therapy (PT) License is required
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric therapy setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt therapy plans to meet individualized needs
- Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted physical therapy services to a single student with high needs
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and family to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Maintain detailed documentation of evaluations, progress notes, and treatment sessions
- Attend and contribute to team meetings to review student advancement
- Utilize creativity and expertise to maximize each session’s effectiveness
