Physical Therapist – PRN PRN Physical therapist to cover inpatients on weekends as well as on a PRN basis during weekdays. Additionally provides PRN coverage for hospital‑based outpatient services. Responsibilities Cover inpatient units on weekends and on a PRN basis during weekdays. Provide outpatient coverage on a PRN basis. Evaluate and treat patients referred by licensed physicians in accordance with the Georgia State Practice Act, APTA Practice Standards, and hospital policies. Actively supervise and participate in the care of Licensed Physical Therapist Assistants and Athletic Trainers. Comply with hospital policies and support the mission and values of the hospital. Document and bill in compliance with Georgia State Practice Act, JCAHO, Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurers. Collaborate with other members of the St. Mary’s Health Care System, including nurses, physicians, and other therapists. Participate in clinical quality measurement and performance improvement programs. Qualifications Current licensure by the Georgia State Board of Physical Therapy. Graduate of an APTA‑accredited or similarly accredited School of Physical Therapy (bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree). Minimum broad experience in a variety of clinical settings gained through accredited internship programs. Exemplary knowledge of PT principles, evaluation, treatment planning, modality applications, therapeutic exercise, and patient mobility treatments. Proficiency in required documentation and billing to satisfy regulatory requirements. Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate therapy treatments with PT assistants, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare providers. Strong conflict‑management, data analysis, and communication skills. Excellent customer‑service orientation toward physician referral sources. Willingness to participate in clinical quality measurement and performance improvement programs.
