Modern Healthcare Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 15 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse ER (Adult) Scheduling Details This position requires night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a contract length of 15 weeks. Every other weekend and holiday availability is necessary. Requests for time off and block scheduling must be submitted at the time of application. The client reserve the right to cancel up to three shifts during the contract period without incurring charges for the canceled hours. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Required License and Certifications Must possess an active New York Single State RN license (pending licenses are not accepted). Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required. Required Clinical Skills IV therapy including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs. Administration of IV vasopressors. Knowledge and experience in CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator management. Expertise in managing CVA (stroke), neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and TBI. Proficient in cardiac monitoring, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Emergency care experience, including adult and pediatric emergency cases, gunshot wounds, and orthopedic trauma. Understanding of isolation precautions and triage, particularly in the context of pediatric spinal cord injuries. Unit Details Patient Ratios: 1:5 for adults and geriatrics with various emergency diagnoses. Special Equipment: Familiarity with Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling equipment. Floating may be required within the skillset. Scrub Color: Combinations of navy blue and white are acceptable.
