Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER)We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team. This role requires expertise in managing a diverse patient population and providing high-quality emergency care.Shift DetailsSchedule: 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30)Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (approximately 6 weekend shifts per contract)Floating: May be required to support overflow patients in designated units as neededPatient Care RatiosTypical patient ratio: 1:4Ratio may increase to 1:4-5 based on patient acuity and staffing levelsExperience RequirementsMinimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experienceAt least 1 year of Level II trauma experience is requiredLevel I trauma experience is preferredExperience caring for patients across all age groups is essential; adult-only ED experience is not acceptableStrong dysrhythmia interpretation and management experience requiredExperience with blood product administration, phlebotomy, and IV management is necessaryIV vasopressor and cerebrovascular accident (CVA) experience is requiredExperience managing patients with BiPAP/CPAP, ventilated patient care, and ABG interpretation is necessaryTriage experience is preferredCertifications RequiredACLSBLSNIHSSPALSTNCCAnnual stroke education requirements must be met as indicatedThe charting system used is Cerner FirstNet.Other InformationUp to 2 pre-approved time-off requests are permitted per contractLocals are acceptedMD RN license is required upon submissionThis is a 73-bed Emergency Department averaging approximately 200 visits per dayThe department includes dedicated units for various age groups and conditions, providing comprehensive emergency services
