Job Title Clinical Supervisor: EMPS Youth Mobile Crisis Employment Type Full-time, 40 hrs/week Schedule Monday‑Friday 7am‑3pm (Office‑based) Program / Location Youth Mobile Crisis (EMPS), Middletown, CT Program Description EMPS provides 24/7 crisis support for children and families experiencing emotional, behavioral, or situational distress. Services include: Crisis telephone triage and support Mobile crisis assessment and intervention Community‑based care in homes, schools, courts, and other settings Our mission is to provide early intervention, stabilization, and alternatives to hospitalization while strengthening families and communities. Team Structure & Work Environment As Clinical Supervisor, you will lead a multidisciplinary, fast‑paced mobile crisis team consisting of: Supervisory Crisis Intake/Triage managing incoming calls and coordinating responses Master’s‑level clinicians providing mobile assessments and interventions with follow‑up and linkage to services You will collaborate closely with: External partners including schools, hospitals, DCF, law enforcement, and community providers Internal quality, training, and compliance teams This role blends hands‑on clinical leadership with administrative oversight, offering a balance of: Real‑time crisis consultation Staff coaching and development Program operations management You’ll also participate in a broader leadership structure, receiving support from senior program leadership while helping guide team culture, performance expectations, and service delivery standards. Duties & Responsibilities Provides case consultation, direction and leadership within the team Ensures clients receive services focused on presenting problems and their treatment requests Directs crisis intervention efforts and intervenes as required Monitors client meetings, admission, continued stay, and discharge criteria Reviews caseloads regularly to ensure appropriate utilization of services Oversees hiring, training, and performance management of staff within the program Facilitates team meetings Participates in internal and external meetings, including delivering marketing, training, and case consultation services Ensures client, program, and agency documentation and reports are completed in a timely manner and according to program, agency, funder, and accreditation/licensing standards Oversees completion of chart audits and ensures all documentation is accurate and up‑to‑date Acts as primary point person for program and provides backup or on‑call coverage as needed Ensures proper maintenance of vehicles (if applicable) Provides clinical direction and leadership to the team, fostering a collaborative and effective environment in collaboration with their supervisor Ensures completion of insurance authorizations for services rendered, as required Actively participates in committees focused on service delivery and quality improvement within the agency Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Education: Master’s or higher in a mental health related field required Experience: Minimum of 2‑3 years’ experience as a clinician; clinical supervisory experience required Licensure/Certification/Registration: LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist required Training: Experience in related program service preferred Benefits Award‑Winning Workplace Proudly recognized as a Top Workplace for 12 consecutive years Generous Time Off Paid time off, including a special day off for your birthday Retirement Savings Contributions to a 403(b) retirement plan Comprehensive Insurance Competitive premiums with discounts on pet, auto, and home insurance Education & Tuition Support Tuition reimbursement and professional development programs Student loan repayment assistance (Public Service Loan Forgiveness, etc.) Exclusive tuition discounts for CHR employees at local colleges/universities Career Development Robust training curriculum, including a Clinical Training Series for interactive learning and skill enhancement Clinical supervision and/or mentoring available at many programs Internal career fairs for employees across programs statewide Wellness Program Annual wellness stipend Premium subscription to the Calm app for employees and families Activities such as coloring contests, lunch & learns, and employee appreciation events Up to 6 confidential counseling sessions per year through the EAP program Employee Involvement Leadership luncheons with the CEO and participation in agency committees Stay Informed Weekly video updates from the CEO and monthly newsletters Other Benefits Many benefits available to all staff, with some subject to eligibility Compensation $64,326.15 minimum, with potential to increase based on experience.
