Accounting Manager

We are searching for an Accounting Manager to join the Accounting team based in Gibsonton, FL. This position is responsible for financial reporting of company results, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statements. The position also includes work that analyzes and evaluates the monthly financial results compared to the company's budget and forecast.

Measures Of Success

• Produce Financial reports
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual account reconciliations and journal entries
• Evaluate and analyze financial results
• Advance proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel required
• Advise on any process improvement or alternative accounting treatment
• Participate in special projects as required by management

Ideal Candidate Attributes

• Minimum of an Associate's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in general accounting
• Knowledge in preparing sales tax, GST, property tax, and business license filings.
• Proficient in Great Plains and Microsoft Dynamics a plus
• Able to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Capable to work independently or in teams
• Strong skills in: Communication, Interpersonal, Problem solving, Organization and Analytical
• Suited to work in a constant state of alertness on a variety of tasks in a safe manner
• Supervisory experience a plus

Working Conditions

• Sit at desk for long periods of time
• Collaborate with other departments, walking between buildings when applicable
• Hybrid working model
• Reports to Sr. Finance Manager
• Able to scan, file, and lift stacks of documents
