Clinical Director - Oncology

We are seeking a Clinical Director for Oncology to provide strategic and operational leadership for assigned oncology units. The role focuses on delivering 24/7 patient‑centered care, optimizing resources, and enhancing organizational performance. Responsibilities Lead clinical operations, ensuring consistent delivery of high quality care. Drive initiatives to enhance patient safety, clinical outcomes, and service excellence. Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff and Patient Care Coordinators (PCCs). Manage staffing models, scheduling, and resource allocation to maximize workforce efficiency. Participate in annual budget planning, monitor financial performance, and implement corrective actions. Maintain regulatory and accreditation readiness across service areas. Implement new technologies and operational projects to improve care delivery. Model nursing professionalism, ethics, and evidence‑based practice; pursue advanced certifications. Education and Training Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (required); Master’s degree in Nursing (preferred). Experience 3‑5 years in an acute care environment (required). Licenses & Certifications Registered Nurse, Tennessee (required). Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (required). Preferred: Nursing Administration board certification or national certification in the clinical specialty. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strategic leadership, change management, and team empowerment. Operational agility: managing multiple priorities and complex workflows. Data‑driven decision making with interpretation of clinical and operational data. Technology proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare information systems. Physical Demands Climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motions. Ability to exert up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 25 lbs frequently. Visual acuity for assessing patients, analyzing data, transcribing, and reading.
