Position: Director of Public Works Location: Jacksonville, FLJob Id: 4922 # of Openings: 1 Director of Public Works – Jacksonville, FLHalff is seeking a highly skilled Director of Public Works to join our Public Works practice in Jacksonville, FL. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in delivering public works utilities and roadway design projects, an established network of municipal clients, and knowledge of established practices in regional clients’ rotation lists, on-calls and pre-qualification pools in the Jacksonville area. This position will entail the leadership of multiple Public Works teams, training and mentorship of team leaders and civil engineering staff, and oversight of large/complex projects. A successful Director of Public Works will personally initiate and lead project pursuits and direct/mentor others to lead project pursuits that ultimately lead to contracts - driving sales, growth and other key metrics. Learn about Halff and our 75th AnniversaryWhat you will do:Develop and maintain a robust network of municipal clients and teaming partnersIdentify potential projects within the region and initiate implementation strategies for successful awarding of new design contractsProduce winning project proposals as lead professional/project managerDevelop and review project scopes and professional services feesSupervise direct reports (Team Leaders)Train and coach Team Leaders and Production staffOversee large scale, complex, multi-discipline projectsWork in a team environment with multiple offices and various disciplinesDrive sales growth, coach strong financial project performance, and monitor other key metricsWhat you will need:Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degreeProfessional Engineer (P.E.)
