Shipping and Receiving Clerk The Shipping and Receiving Clerk manages all incoming and outgoing shipments, ensures accurate order processing, and maintains an organized inventory within a warehouse or distribution environment. This role supports daily logistics operations by coordinating shipments, maintaining documentation, and helping keep the warehouse running efficiently. Responsibilities Prepare, package, and ship outgoing orders accurately and on time, following established procedures and standards. Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments, verifying accuracy against purchase orders and shipping documents. Maintain detailed shipping and receiving logs and documentation to ensure accurate record-keeping and traceability. Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely and efficient movement of goods. Track shipments and proactively resolve any shipping or inventory issues that may arise. Support inventory control activities, including inventory counts and cycle counting, to maintain accurate stock levels. Assist with picking and staging orders for shipment to ensure correct items and quantities are prepared. Help maintain an organized warehouse by keeping shipping, receiving, and storage areas clean and orderly. Essential Skills Experience in shipping and receiving operations within a warehouse or distribution environment. Hands-on experience with inventory management and inventory control processes. Ability to perform cycle counting and support regular inventory checks. Familiarity with order picking and staging for shipment. Basic understanding of logistics processes, including carrier coordination and shipment tracking. Ability to maintain accurate shipping and receiving logs and documentation. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order processing and record-keeping. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience using SAP or similar inventory or warehouse management systems. Prior experience in a small warehouse or shop environment. Ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit, family-oriented team.
