This role supports day and night shift operations in cell and module assembly departments, focusing on machine operation, general production, and packaging activities. You will work in a clean, temperature-controlled manufacturing environment, handling moving parts and boxes while following strict safety and cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate production and assembly machinery safely and efficiently in the cell and module assembly departments.

• Perform general production and assembly tasks, including handling moving parts and components throughout the production process.

• Carry out packaging duties such as packing, labeling, and preparing finished products for shipment.

• Move boxes, materials, and products between work areas as needed to support continuous production flow.

• Follow established manufacturing procedures and quality standards to maintain consistent product quality.

• Adhere to safety protocols and use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area in line with 5S3K principles and clean room requirements.

• Walk between buildings and across the plant as needed to support operations in different areas.

• Comply with all company policies, including attendance and shift schedules that include every other weekend.

Essential Skills

• At least 6 months of manufacturing experience.

• Machine operating experience in a production or manufacturing environment.

• Packaging experience, including handling and preparing products for shipment.

• General production, general labor, and assembly experience.

• Ability to work day or night shifts, including every other weekend, on a rotating schedule.

• Comfort using personal protective equipment (PPE) in a clean room environment.

• Consistent work history with at least 9 months of tenure at each previous job.

• Ability to maintain continuous employment without extended breaks from work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with packing and material handling in a manufacturing setting.

• Familiarity with 5S3K or similar workplace organization and cleanliness standards.

• Ability to perform physically active work, including walking between buildings and across the plant.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized procedures in a clean room environment.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean room department within a manufacturing plant, where the environment is meticulously clean, temperature controlled, and very brightly lit. Team members do a significant amount of walking from building to building and from one end of the plant to another. The clean room requires specific attire, including a garb and beard net if applicable, along with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). The facility emphasizes 5S3K principles, maintaining high standards of organization, cleanliness, and safety. All types of shifts are available, including day and night shifts, with schedules typically running 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. for certain shifts and a rotating pattern of 2 days on/2 days off and 3 days on/2 days off, which includes working every other weekend.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Matteson, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
