This position offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement, or remote work opportunities.The PositionThis is an excellent opportunity for lawyers with experience handling insurance coverage/coverage litigation matters to work with a collaborative group of experience coverage/coverage litigation attorneys who handle cases in Colorado and throughout the US, working with domestic and foreign insurers. QualificationsJD from an ABA accredited law schoolAdmitted to practice in the state of ColoradoAt least 8 years of defense litigation 5+ years of coverage/coverage litigation experienceExperience in areas of insurance coverage including drafting coverage opinions in one or more insurance lines (CGL, property, professional liability, cyber, intellectual property, etc.)Experience in either or both third-party or first-party claimsCoverage analysis and writing experienceExperience drafting discovery and pretrial motions requiredExperience cross-examining plaintiffs and other fact witnesses preferredExperience handling court appearances, depositions, and trial experience a plusTrial experience a plusSuperior analytical skillsStrong written and oral communication skillsResponsibilitiesDraft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other legal documentsAttend court hearings, depositions, and mediationsCollaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and offices, contributing to a cohesive and supportive team environmentInvestigate claims and draft coverage opinion lettersIn coverage litigation matters, draft pleadings, motions, and handle discoveryProvide clients with insurance coverage advice on a variety of subjectsCommunicate with clients and provide status reportsWilson Elser offers a competitive salary and benefits package designed to support our attorneys both professionally and personally.A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
