Accounting Specialist - Accounts Receivable - Huntersville, NC Position Overview: The Accounting Specialist will be a highly motivated and results-driven professional responsible for all Accounts Receivable related activities and contribute to various financial projects. Position Responsibilities: Verify applicable shipment data, generate customer invoices, and submit electronically to our customers. Apply bank deposits for customer payments made via ACH/lockbox to cash and our accounts receivable sub-ledger. Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure accounts receivable aging is up to date by communicating and providing statements for our customers. Analyze financial data, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures. Generate vendor invoices, weekly payments, and complete bank, credit card, and other applicable reconciliations. Provide supporting documentation regarding audit sample selections of invoices, payment confirmations, etc. Contribute to various month-end assignments. Qualifications: Understanding of accounting theory and practice. Accounting experience within the manufacturing sector is preferred. High level of self-motivation, and the ability to work independently without being micro-managed. Must have a keen attention to detail. Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Exceptional customer service orientation. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
