Take on a rewarding contract assignment as a Special Education Teacher specializing in middle school Science and Social Studies. Step into a dynamic environment where you'll support students with diverse learning needs in both inclusion and self-contained classroom settings. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact during a medical leave coverage, starting November 5, 2026, through January 4, 2027.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid State Special Education Teacher Certification
- Middle School or K–12 endorsement strongly preferred
- Experience supporting students in both inclusion and self-contained settings
- Solid background in teaching Science and Social Studies at the middle school level
- Proficient in implementing IEP accommodations, modifications, and progress monitoring
- Collaborative spirit to work alongside general education teachers and support staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engaging instruction in Science and Social Studies tailored for middle school learners receiving special education services
- Deliver lessons in both inclusive and self-contained classrooms, adapting materials for individualized needs
- Implement students’ IEPs with fidelity, including accommodations, modifications, and progress data collection
- Participate in team meetings, contribute to IEP reviews, and communicate regularly with staff and families
- Ensure a supportive and structured learning environment to maximize student engagement and growth
