Step into an impactful role supporting high school students in a dropout recovery program as an Onsite Facilitator for a Virtual Special Education Teacher. This full-time contract opportunity, based in the Cleveland, OH area and located near Lakewood, provides the chance to help students achieve academic success and personal growth under the guidance of a virtual instructor. In this position, you’ll be the vital in-person link, ensuring students remain engaged, motivated, and supported throughout their individualized educational journeys.

Qualifications:

• Valid ODE Paraprofessional certification is required
• Experience working in high school settings or with special education students is strongly preferred
• Skilled in building rapport and motivating adolescents, particularly those at risk of dropping out
• Ability to collaborate effectively with virtual educators, school staff, and families
• Comfortable navigating technology used to deliver virtual instruction

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate daily activities in the classroom, ensuring students access and interact with the virtual special education teacher’s lessons
• Support students with coursework, assignments, and technology needs as they engage in the recovery program
• Provide classroom management while fostering a nurturing, positive learning environment
• Serve as the on-site point of contact for students, assisting them with questions and connecting them with additional resources as needed
• Communicate regularly with the virtual teacher and school staff regarding student progress, challenges, and successes
• Adapt to the needs of a dynamic classroom and diverse student population
