Step into an impactful role supporting high school students as a Special Education Teacher specializing in English Language Arts. This full-time, 37.5-hour-per-week contract position begins in Fall 2026, serving grade levels 9–12. You’ll be part of a dedicated educational community where your expertise helps students thrive academically and personally during those pivotal high school years.

Qualifications:

• Valid and active state teaching certification/license for English Language Arts at the high school (7–12 or 9–12) level
• Previous experience teaching in a high school setting preferred
• Solid understanding of current ELA curriculum standards and effective instructional strategies
• Strong classroom management skills with a commitment to creating supportive, structured environments
• Ability to differentiate instruction, accommodating a variety of learning styles and needs
• Effective communicator, adept at collaborating with colleagues, administration, and parents

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging ELA lessons aligned with state academic standards, tailored for diverse learners
• Utilize multiple assessment strategies to track student progress and maintain accurate grade records
• Adapt instruction to meet the individual strengths and challenges of each student
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom community fostering growth, curiosity, and respect
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to share insights and promote student development
