Assistant Nurse Manager ICU FT Days

Job Description Demonstrates critical thinking skills, creativity, and resource management to achieve quality performance and positive employee relations. Promotes evidence‑based practice, ensuring quality outcomes, and fostering a culture of safety, compassion, and continuous learning. Provides ongoing education and training to nursing staff to maintain high competency levels. Prepares the unit for audits and surveys, by monitoring and maintaining unit compliance with regulatory standards, accrediting, hospital policies while coordinating staff education to maintain competencies and preparedness. Manages nursing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal patient care. Conducts regular staff meetings to communicate updates, address concerns and provide guidance. Assists in developing, implementing, and evaluating ongoing service programs to ensure quality nursing and patient care. Manages budgets and resources efficiently to meet financial and operational goals. Manages assigned direct reports including recruitment, hiring, coaching, disciplinary actions, development, education, competencies, performance evaluations, and payroll functions. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must have extensive knowledge of surgeries within multiple service lines. [Required] Must pose strong organizational and logistic skills. [Required] Ability to lead others. [Required] Ability to function independently as an RNFA. [Required] Is highly knowledgeable of the assigned service line(s). [Required] Education Associate's of Nursing [Required] Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred] Field of Study Successful completion of an RNFA program sanctioned by AORN Work Experience 3+ years of experience as a registered nurse. [Required] 2+ years as RN in an acute or setting. [Required] Prior leadership experience.
