This full-time position offers the chance to work Monday through Friday with a dedicated group of high school students, providing tailored support and fostering student growth and independence.

Desired Qualifications:

Valid North Carolina Special Education License
Certification in Special Education required
Experience working with high school age students preferred
Strong background in behavior intervention or behavioral support strategies is a plus
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to address student needs
Deliver specialized instruction in accordance with IEP goals and state standards
Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student potential
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
Employ proactive behavioral management techniques to support student success
Contribute to a positive, respectful school culture through relationship-building and advocacy
