Security Officer Position
Allied Universal is currently hiring a full time Security Officer for a bank in Dorchester, MA.
Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Starting pay is $19.52 per hour / Paid orientation / Paid training / DailyPay available
As a Security Officer in Dorchester, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as financial institutions, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and guests while supporting a welcoming environment. Monday 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Tuesday 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Wednesday 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Thursday 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Friday 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
What you'll do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the financial institution location, including business areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures.
Minimum requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
