Ultrasound Technologist - Inpatient Facility

Location: Reno, NV

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 3x12s, 5:00 am - 5:30 pm, Saturday, Sunday, Monday

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist specializing in inpatient facilities. The technologist will perform complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures under the direction of a physician and department supervisor. The role includes responsibility for patient care and proper execution of care standards while supporting the vision and mission of healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out the physician's orders by following established protocols and care standards.
• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in areas such as Cardiac, Vascular, and General ultrasound.
• Maintain current knowledge of technological advances in ultrasound imaging.
• Review images for identification, technique, and completeness.
• Function as a role model and resource to patients, physicians, and peers.
• Participate in educational sessions and mentor students or new staff.
• Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of ultrasound equipment.
• Engage in the accreditation processes for ultrasound modalities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active registry with either Cardiovascular Credentialing International (e.g., RCS, RVS) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (e.g., RDMS, RVT, RDCS).
• CPR certification upon hire.
• Minimum of three years clinical experience in ultrasound.
• Experience in breast imaging, diagnostics, and biopsies.
• Prior travel experience, specifically one 13-week assignment.
