Monday Night Brewing is an award-winning craft brewery based out of Atlanta, with a distribution footprint across Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee. We currently operate two taprooms in Atlanta, GA, a brewpub in Birmingham, AL, a full-service taproom in Nashville, TN, a taproom in Charlotte, NC, and a taproom in Knoxville, TN. In our thirteenth year of operation, we are proud to produce a vast portfoliospanning from small batch New England IPAs to barrel-aged stouts, approachable kettle sours to mixed culture ambers, hop-forward West Coast IPAs.

Monday Night Brewing is seeking a part-time Bartender/Barista to join our growing team and operate the bar/coffee shop in the taproom at our West Midtown location. Whether bartending or serving as the barista, this role is responsible for demonstrating top-notch hospitality and knowledge about our award-winning beers, craft cocktails, coffee and in-house food offerings. Bartenders and baristas must ensure compliance with alcohol laws, and strive to make the guests' Monday Night experience memorable and comfortable. This dual role is ideal for someone who's equally passionate about craft beer, cocktails, and coffeeand thrives in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment. Most importantly, you'll help make every guest feel comfortable, cared for, and welcome. This position is part time with a mix of weekday and weekend shifts.

Reports to:

• General Manager

High-Level Goals:

• Contribute to the overall guest experience.
• Must have a willingness and enthusiasm to learn about beer, cocktails, coffee, and food, and share that knowledge with others.

Responsibilities:

• Serve guests beer, coffee, food and crafted cocktails.
• Selling brewery merchandise, packaged spirits and packaged beer.
• Change and rotate kegs, properly using and maintaining adrift system
• Ring in and answer questions about our food offerings - breakfast, lunch and dinner options.
• Use espresso machine to make coffees to order by dialing in espresso, steaming milk, and managing drink flow during busy hours
• Execute and deliver countertop food offerings
• Execute on all aspects of the cocktail program including batching cocktails, preparing garnishes, adding correct garnishes, etc.
• Use a Point-of-Sale System to ring up credit transactions, as well as managing open bar tabs.
• Politely but firmly enforce tasting room and brewery rules and regulations.
• Ensure that the tasting room and grounds, including the parking lot, and restrooms are thoroughly cleaned and prepped before and after each shift.
• Work closely with the General Manager and Head Bartender, helping wherever needed.
• Work closely with Events Architect if serving as bartender at private events, helping wherever needed.
• Provide excellent customer experience to create brand loyalty and grow the business.
• Cultivate positive work experiences with coworkers by being an adaptable team-player.
• Support larger public events throughout the year with staging, bartending, and breakdown.
• Remain knowledgeable of the kitchen items and offerings to sell to customers.
• Perform all opening and closing tasks listed in SOP's.
• Other duties as assigned

Expectations:

• Keep an availability of:
• 3 Saturdays per month
• 1 Sunday per month
• 1 late night Mondays for late night event after hours
• 1 Barista shift per week

Compensation:

• $2.13 per hour plus share of tip pool
• Monday Night Brewing will cover the difference to match $15/hour when tip pool doesn't cover, measured on a weekly average

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to climb, lift, reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift at least 40 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours in a hot, wet, humid, and loud environment.
• The position is extremely physical and demanding in nature and involves working with potentially dangerous equipment, machinery, exposure to high noise levels, and handling of hazardous materials.
• Uses repetitive motions.
• Can work in both hot and cold temperatures.
