Digital Experience Design Senior Manager

The Opportunity:

We areseekinga strategic and hands-on design leader to define and deliver the future of Booz Allen's digital experience s. This role combines digital experience strategy, strong visual and interface design, and UX fundamentals with ownership of the web channel as a primary platform for audience e nga gement, brand storytelling, and lead generation.

TheDigital Experience Design Senior Managerwill set the vision for modern, e nga ging digital experience s, with a primary focus on the website and its role across broader marketing and sales journeys. This individual will lead a multidisciplinary design team,establish experience standardsand design systems, and partner with brand and creative teams to translate content and creative assets into compelling, intuitive digital experience s.

This is a player-coach role: you will lead through strategy and influence while remaining close to the work—developing experience concepts, providing hands-on design direction, and stepping into design work when needed. You will partner closely with marketing, creative, content, production, analytics, and technology teams to deliver cohesive, high-impact digital experience s. What You'll Work On:

• Define and evolve the digital experience vision across web and adjacent channels, translating business, audience, and brand goals into clear experience strategies and roadmaps.

• Set the experience and interface design direction for Booz Allen's digital presence, creating modern, e nga ging experience s that combine strong visual storytelling with intuitive UX.

• Lead the design of marketingpages, thought leadership, and other content-rich experience s using layout, typography, imagery, interaction, and motion to elevate audience e nga gement.

• Partner with brand and creative teams to translate brand standards, campaigns, content, and creative assets into cohesive and effective digital experience s.

• Provide hands-on design direction and feedback, raising the quality of concepts and finished experience s while encouraging designers to explorenew approaches and push beyond established patterns whenappropriate.

• Own the web experience strategy, including site architecture, navigation, content models, experience patterns, and continuous optimization to improve e nga gement and performance.

• Apply strong UX principles, including information architecture, interaction design, responsive design, usability, and accessibility, to ensure experience s are both compelling and intuitive.

• Establish and evolve an enterprise design system and UI pattern library that enables consistency and scalability while supporting flexibility and innovation.

• Use audience insights, analytics, experimentation, and research to inform design decisions, define experience met rics and KPIs, and continuouslyoptimizedigital experience s.

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary experience design team and serve as a strategic advisor to marketing and business stakeholders, setting a high bar for design quality, collaboration, and execution.

You Have:

• 10+ years of experience in digital experience design, web design, visual or interface design, or UX design, including leadership responsibility

• Experience designing polished, modern, content-rich digital experience s for major brands, organizations, or marketing properties at largescale, built onenterprise content management systems

• Experience with visual and interface design skills, including typography, layout, composition, responsive design, interaction, and the effective integration of imagery, video, and motion

• Experience with UX fundamentals, including information architecture, interaction design, usability, accessibility, and user- center ed design principles

• Experience translating brand systems, content, and creative assets into effective digital interfaces and experience s

• Experience defining, implementing, and evolving digital design systems and UI pattern libraries

• Experience leading design teams and delivering digital experience s at enterprise scale, including providing design direction and critique while remaining comfortable contributing directly to design work

• Knowledge of analytics, A / B testing, performance optimization, digital channel met rics, and experience measurement

• Ability to present a portfolio of visually compelling digital experience s, including marketing websites, content experience s, or other brand-led web work demonstratingstrong visual and interface design judgment, UX fundamentals, and high-quality execution

• Bachelor's degree

• Experience working in or closely with digital agencies, design studios, or other environments with a strong emphasis on high-quality digital experience design

• Experience in B2B or B2G environments with complex subject matter and longer, relationship-driven customer journeys

• Experience integrating digital experience design with content strategy, SEO, and digital analytics

• Experience with experimentation, personalization, or journey orchestration platforms such as Adobe Target

• Experience with email marketing and marketing automation platforms such as Marketo or Salesforce Marketing Cloud

• Experience with enterprise CMS platforms such as AEM orContentful

• Experience designing experience s within component-based or modular web platforms

• Knowledge of data ecosystems, including customer data platforms and data lakes

• Knowledge of accessibility standards, including WCAG

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $142,900.00 to $266,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
