About the Position
Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Step Down Unit Duration: Full-Time Shift: Not specified Hours per Shift: Not specified Experience: 2 years License: Registered Nurse Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: 2 years of experience, ACLS, BLS Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse in a medical step down unit. The unit consists of 16-20 beds and operates with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1 to 4. Common patient conditions include sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, and respiratory failure. Other patient care may involve chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes mellitus, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy. Candidates must possess current certifications in ACLS and BLS. A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required for this role.
