Single Family Office - Senior Accountant | NYC

A long-established Single Family Office with more than a century of history is seeking a seasoned accounting professional to join its established accounting team. Reporting directly to the President, this individual will serve as a senior resource to more junior team members while remaining a hands-on individual contributor.

This is a highly trusted position with significant responsibility and visibility across multiple family entities, investment structures, and special projects. The role spans financial reporting, accounting, treasury, controls, and compliance. Excellent advancement opportunity to take on additional responsibilities and grow into a Controller role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting across multiple family entities and structures, including accounting, reconciliations, closing, budgeting, and general-ledger oversight
• Manage cash activity, liquidity requirements, capital calls, distributions, wires, and banking controls
• Serve as the primary resource for  Sage Intacct software
• Support audits, compliance filings, operational reviews, and business-continuity planning
• Provide financial administration and reporting for family members and related entities
• Serve as an experienced resource to more junior members of the accounting team
• Partner closely with the COO, senior management, and the broader accounting and operations teams on special projects and evolving priorities

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Sage Intacct experience required
• Financial services background preferred
• Strong multi-entity accounting and financial reporting experience
• CPA a plus

Compensation

• Low to mid-$200's base/bonus compensation in addition to an excellent benefits package
