Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical Neuro – North Carolina

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM. 36 or 48 hours per week accepted. Every other weekend required. Float requirements apply. Must be available to work holidays.

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Neuro experience required; telemetry and medical-surgical experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency in EKG interpretation, IV management, and dysrhythmia management
• Must complete EKG testing prior to start date
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to complete 8-10 hours of pre-start online modules using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge

Additional Information:

This role requires flexibility and commitment, including availability during emergency situations. Pre-approved time off is limited to 7 days (no holidays), and requested time off after contract signing is not permitted. Candidates must be comfortable floating to other units as needed and working 2 out of 3 major holidays. Former employees must wait 12 months before applying. Local candidates within 50 miles will be considered at an adjusted rate.
