Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM; 36 or 48-hour weekly contracts available; contract lengths from 13-26 weeks accepted

Highlights:

• Dedicated neurology unit focusing on neurosurgical procedures and neurological diagnoses
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy
• Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
• 36-bed unit with 2 orientation shifts provided after hospital-based orientation
• Weekend requirement: 12-16 weekend shifts per contract with floating required as needed
• First-time travelers accepted with 2 years of experience

Requirements:

• Current North Carolina or Compact nursing license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Neurology experience strongly preferred
• Experience with telemetry, IV management, CVA care, and non-invasive airway management preferred
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Ability and willingness to work during catastrophic events or disasters as part of Storm/Hurricane Team assignment
