About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry – North Carolina Start Date: November 16, 2026 Location: Wilmington, North Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM. 36 or 48-hour contracts available. Contract lengths from 13 to 26 weeks accepted. Every other weekend required. Float as needed. No call required. Highlights:

• Combined medical-surgical and surgical step-down unit with diverse case mix including trauma, emergency surgery, and post-operative care
• Patient ratio of 1:6 for surgical and medicine inpatient populations
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, PT, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• 24 hours of floor orientation following 2 days of hospital orientation
• Work with advanced equipment including wound vacs, chest tubes, NG tubes, and various surgical drains
• Manage a wide range of surgical procedures from appendectomies and cholecystectomies to trauma cases and amputations

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience; first-time travelers with strong experience will be considered
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Experience managing 1:6 patient ratios required
• Proficiency in BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care, chest tubes, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, wound care/wound vac, and IV starts
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions available)
• Ability to work during catastrophic events or disasters as part of Storm/Hurricane Team
