Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM. Contract options available for 36 or 48 hours per week. Contract lengths from 13 to 26 weeks accepted. Weekend requirement of 12-16 shifts per contract. Float required as needed.

• Specialized neurology unit focusing on neurosurgical procedures and neurological diagnoses
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 providing manageable workload
• EPIC charting system with Pyxis medication management
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
• Two orientation shifts on the unit following hospital-based orientation
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina or Compact RN license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Neuro experience strongly preferred
• Experience with telemetry, IV management, pre/post neurosurgery care, and dysrhythmia interpretation preferred
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and floating to other units
• Willingness to serve on Storm/Hurricane Team during catastrophic events or disasters
