Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students' unique learning journeys as a Special Education Teacher. Multiple positions are open for contract roles during the fall, covering short-term leaves and offering the possibility of extension or transition into other assignments.

Starting in mid-September and concluding in mid-December, you’ll work with diverse age groups, adapting your instruction to varied needs across different grade levels. This on-site role requires a total of 35 hours per week, making a lasting impact in an educational setting dedicated to inclusivity and growth.

Qualifications:

• Active Connecticut Special Education Teacher License, along with all necessary certifications.
• Experience working with students in special education across a range of age groups preferred.
• Adaptability and strong communication skills to thrive in a dynamic school environment.
• A collaborative mindset and a passion for fostering student success.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and individualized instruction following school guidelines and each student’s education plan.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting teaching strategies to meet evolving needs.
• Collaborate with fellow staff, administrators, and families to create supportive educational experiences.
• Provide a positive, safe, and structured classroom environment for all learners.
• Participate in meetings, planning sessions, and professional development as needed.
