Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A clinical pharmacist is needed for a 12-week contract position starting ASAP in Ashland, OH, supporting inpatient services at two hospital sites with a combined total of 65 beds. This role requires oversight of pharmacy technicians, managing clean room operations, and maintaining strong communication and collaboration with physician and nursing teams. Both facilities utilize EPIC electronic health records.
Shift schedules offer flexibility with start times between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM, including coverage every 4th weekend. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed Ohio pharmacist to contribute to high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment that values kindness, responsibility, confidence, and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Perform typical inpatient clinical pharmacy duties ensuring accurate medication management
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians in daily tasks
- Oversee clean room procedures to maintain compliance and safety standards
- Collaborate effectively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Utilize EPIC software for medication order verification and documentation
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Pharmacist license in Ohio required
- Experience in inpatient pharmacy services preferred
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain a collaborative and respectful work environment
Schedule:
- Flexible shift start times between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM
- Work every 4th weekend
