Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized tests and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans that target immediate goals and foster long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing progress.
• Provide dedicated, one-on-one speech therapy focusing on areas such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate closely with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and families to ensure integrated care approaches.
• Educate patients and their families to facilitate progress between therapy sessions.
• Offer occasional inpatient speech therapy services, ensuring seamless care throughout the patient journey.
• Document patient progress with precision, in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Engage in professional development and stay updated on best practices within the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
