Description

• Conduct evaluations for patients across various demographics, utilizing standardized assessments and observation techniques.
• Create customized treatment plans that target both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver one-on-one speech therapy sessions that emphasize communication, language, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing capabilities.
• Work in partnership with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care plans.
• Facilitate education for patients and families to promote progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Perform occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, assuring a seamless continuum of care.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation adhering to state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Remain updated with advancements in the field through continual learning and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needs to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
