Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Formulate tailored treatment plans that focus on both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver individual speech therapy sessions aimed at improving communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure cohesive care and treatment strategies.
• Educate patients and their families on how to support progress beyond the clinical settings.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to guarantee a seamless continuity of care throughout the entire treatment process.
• Maintain meticulous and timely documentation as per the state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Continually upgrade your knowledge by engaging in continuing education and collaborative peer learning.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those who are not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
