Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist! This leave replacement position will immerse you in a vibrant school setting, offering the chance to directly impact students’ communication development. The assignment begins January 4th and is scheduled through March, with the potential for extension.

Bring your expertise to a single site, managing a manageable caseload of 55 elementary-age students. The group includes a mix of speech-only and resource students, giving you the chance to make meaningful connections and apply diverse therapy techniques. Your work day will run from 7:30am to 3:00pm, totaling 35 hours per week within a supportive educational environment.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
• Valid California SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
• Skilled in developing and implementing IEP goals, providing both individual and group therapy

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct therapy and assessments for K-5 students
• Develop and update IEPs, track student progress, and maintain thorough documentation
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, resource staff, and families to support student success
• Offer consultative support and resources to staff and parents as needed
• Adapt strategies to meet a variety of speech, language, and communication needs
