Position Overview
RMGS, Inc. is currently recruiting a Barracks Manager in Stennis, Mississippi. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Support day‑to‑day management of the barracks to ensure a safe, clean, and orderly living environment for all residents
- Oversee resident check‑in and check‑out processes, including room assignments, issuing linens, and providing facility briefings
- Maintain accurate berthing and personnel tracking records
- Serve as the primary customer service contact, resolving lodging concerns, maintenance issues, and resident inquiries
- Operate and maintain the barracks key control program, including programming, issuing, retrieving, and troubleshooting electronic key cards
- Coordinate maintenance and repair requests with facility support personnel to ensure timely completion
- Conduct regular inspections of resident rooms, common areas, and surrounding grounds to uphold safety and cleanliness standards
- Assist with ordering, receiving, and managing inventory of cleaning, logistical, and office supplies
- Provide operational support for command functions, graduation events, and student arrivals, including occasional evening or weekend work
- Performs travel and driving duties as necessary to support operational and contractual requirements
- Help develop, maintain, and enforce barracks standard operating procedures
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Active Secret security clearance
- Valid driver’s license and obtain/maintain any required certifications
- Strong work ethic with excellent English communication skills (Spanish required for some roles)
- Ability to work independently with high attention to detail
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position which may include walking, standing, bending and moving materials throughout the workday in a fast‑paced environment
- Ability to work non‑standard schedules (nights/weekends as needed)
- Ability to write professional correspondence
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office applications
- Ability to comply with all cybersecurity and IT policies
- Ability to maintain professional conduct and follow all applicable regulations
- Ability to work non-standard schedules
- Minimum three years of experience in general office, facilities, or lodging administration, including proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience managing, tracking, and ordering logistical and office supplies for a facility
- Demonstrated ability to administer facility key security systems, including programming and maintaining electronic key card access
- Proven capability to coordinate facility maintenance and repairs with internal departments and external service providers
- Experience maintaining personnel tracking and berthing assignment records
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills to support residents and resolve lodging‑related concerns
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid state driver’s license
- Knowledge of safety, occupational health, and facility inspection procedures preferred
