Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Schedule

Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 8-hour days. Weekend, holiday, and on-call required.

Assignment Details

Guaranteed Hours: 40 Weekly
Contract Weeks: 13

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN license in the state.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Preceptorship, charge, and leadership abilities preferred for experienced RNs.
• Ability to assess patient needs, provide quality care, and recognize safety issues.
• Knowledge of clinical equipment used in a safe environment.
• Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to individuals undergoing surgical procedures.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions pre and post-operatively.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan and implement patient care.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.

Compliance / Notes

On-call response time of 30 minutes is required.
