Step into a fulfilling role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract basis for a 12-week leave coverage from August 3rd to October 23rd. Make a real impact assisting a caseload of approximately 50 students, including both general education and Life Skills classrooms (with a focus on push-in services for G3 students). This is a full-time opportunity—standard hours are approximately 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, totaling 7.5 hours per day.

Your expertise will be essential in delivering high-quality therapy, collaborating closely with colleagues, and contributing to students’ academic and social success. You'll write Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance (PLAAFPs), set meaningful goals, and manage speech-only ARDs, ensuring each student receives attentive, individualized support. Responsibilities also include preparing and archiving required documentation, participating in MTSS meetings, conducting student observations, updating progress reports, and completing speech-only evaluations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active SLP license in Texas (CCC-SLP highly preferred)
• Previous experience in a school setting is preferable
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Comfortable working with diverse student populations, including Life Skills classrooms
• Experience with IEP documentation, ARDs, and progress monitoring

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide speech-language therapy for students (push-in and pull-out as needed)
• Write PLAAFPs/goals and update student records
• Facilitate and archive speech-only ARDs
• Complete speech-only evaluations required by due dates
• Attend MTSS meetings and observe students
• Keep progress reports current after first grading period
