Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students' communication needs in a vibrant elementary school setting near Austin, TX. You’ll play an essential role by providing speech-language therapy services to a dedicated caseload of 50 students, including participation in push-in support for Life Skills and third grade (G3) classrooms. This assignment runs from early August through late October, covering a 12-week leave and offering a chance to make an immediate impact at the start of the school year.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in Texas
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
• Previous experience in a school environment preferred
• Strong knowledge of writing Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance (PLAAFPs) and goal-setting
• Familiarity with the ARD process and conducting speech-only evaluations

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and push-in therapy services to a diverse group of students
• Develop individualized goals and update progress reports following the first grading period
• Complete and archive speech-only ARDs for your caseload
• Attend and participate in MTSS meetings, including student observations as needed
• Carry out required speech-only evaluations due during the assignment period

Enjoy regular, full-time hours—approximately 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, for 7.5 hours each day. You’ll have the chance to collaborate closely with educators, families, and support teams, ensuring every student receives the support they need as the academic year begins.
