The NYC Department of Design and Construction, Division of Infrastructure, seeks a Coordinator (CADD) to support the SURVEY/INSPECTIONS team. Reporting directly to the team’ Supervisor, the successful candidate will perform highly responsible work as member of a surveying field team, charged with making as built surveys, sketches, and drawings for completed capital projects and will be responsible for making and preparing drawings from data, sketches and RE Markups. The candidate must be capable of collecting and properly documenting filed elevations and slope details on sewer, water mains and roadway construction projects throughout the city; must be capable of performing various field party functions, such as instrument person, document maintainer, and will be required to conduct research and prepare associated final project drawings. Lastly, they may be required to conduct final survey inspection of construction work during the guarantee period for completed work. Please note: All candidates must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States (U.S.). A list of providers (fees apply) is available at: Minimum Qualifications A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in civil engineering and one year of full-time satisfactory experience in civil engineering work; or A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and a Master's degree from an accredited college in civil engineering. Preferred Skills Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD Construction knowledge relevant to infrastructure work (i.e., roadway, sewer, and/or water main) Familiarity with NYC DOT, NYS DOT, NYC DEP specifications, MUTCD, and AASHTO standards Comprehensive understanding of the NYC infrastructure system and current engineering practices Proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling and Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) credential (preferred) Valid driver's license (required) Personal vehicle (preferred) 55a Program This position is also open to qualified persons with a disability who are eligible for the 55-a Program.
