Senior Analyst

Our client is an employee-owned alternative asset manager based in Boston with approximately $14 billion in assets under management. The firm invests across private markets, public markets, and multi-strategy alternatives, with a long history of investing in early-stage venture capital. Our client is seeking a Senior Analystto join its growing venture capital practice in Boston. The team has extensive experience investing across the venture ecosystem and has raised 19 funds focused predominantly on early-stage venture capital. The Senior Analyst will gain broad exposure to primary fund investments, co-investments, and secondary investments while supporting manager due diligence, portfolio monitoring, investment analysis, and client-related activities. This role also offers an opportunity to leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve investment research, portfolio monitoring, and internal workflows. Responsibilities: Screening new venture capital investment opportunities and conducting detailed manager due diligence Preparing for and participating in meetings with venture capital fund managers Monitoring existing fund managers and underlying portfolio companies and conducting ongoing diligence Conducting research on portfolio construction, industry trends, and venture capital markets Building and maintaining portfolio models and analytical tools to evaluate manager and portfolio performance Developing and implementing AI-driven tools to enhance investment analysis, portfolio monitoring, and team workflows Preparing investment committee and client presentation materials Identifying opportunities to improve processes through technology, automation, and AI Qualifications: 2–3 years of investment or financial experience with a strong interest in venture capital and investing Bachelor’s degree or further education with a strong academic track record Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, repeatable work Familiarity with AI prompting and an interest in developing AI-enabled investment workflows Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills Excellent PowerPoint, presentation, and design skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership and accountability Intellectual curiosity and genuine interest in technology and investing Collaborative team player with a strong work ethic #J-18808-Ljbffr
