PRN Registered Nurse

Hospice Care Center | Day & Night Shift AvailableWe are seeking compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide direct patient care in our Hospice Care Center. This PRN/as-needed role is ideal for an RN looking for flexible scheduling while making a meaningful impact for patients and families.Schedule RequirementsPRN/as neededMust work at least 8 hours per monthMust work 1 weekend per quarterMust work 1 holiday per yearShifts: 6:00 AM–6:30 PM or 6:00 PM–6:30 AMHiring for both Day Shift and Night ShiftKey ResponsibilitiesProvide skilled nursing care, symptom management, emotional support, and education to patients and familiesFollow the established Plan of Care and physician ordersPerform initial and ongoing nursing assessmentsConsult with physicians and/or the Medical Director as neededParticipate in interdisciplinary team planning and care coordinationSupport admissions, referrals, chart reviews, and patient transfers as neededTeach and supervise hospice aides, volunteers, and caregiversOrder appropriate Durable Medical Equipment (DME)Complete timely and accurate documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory standardsAssist with patient care needs including ambulation, transfers, and positioningMaintain clinical competency and perform other duties as assignedQualificationsGraduate of an approved School of NursingCurrent Ohio RN licenseMinimum 2 years of nursing experience in Medical/Surgical, Oncology, or community health nursingHospice experience preferredValid driver’s license requiredSkills & RequirementsCompassionate, patient-centered approach to careExcellent customer service, communication, documentation, and organizational skillsDetail-oriented and able to follow instructionsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to travel to other sites as needed, including in inclement weatherAbility to lift up to 25 lbs.Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, twist, lift, and assist with patient transfers and positioning #J-18808-Ljbffr Priority Dispatch Corp.
