Efficiently moving Engineering Models through CNC machine-based programing to output workable parts for the Development team.Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesFollow blueprints, work orders, or other instructions to determine product specifications or material requirementsCommunicate clearly with Solid Shop Supervisor on daily output expectationsEnsure equipment maintenance schedule is being followedComplete general equipment maintenance between each useSafely operate machinery to ensure no harm is done to employee or machineEnsure all safety procedures are followedMaintain a clean and safe workplaceReport all incidents relating to safety with the Alpha Shop SupervisorAttend required meetings and trainingsPerform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictatesFosters a culture that values family, innovation, collaboration, and empowermentFollows all safety and workplace policiesCompetencies and SkillsOperating knowledge of department processing equipment and processesExperience working with multiple material types (Wood, Metal, Plastic, Adhesives, Wiring, etc.)Expert level proficiency with reading Mechanical DrawingsExpert level proficiency with Drawing Software (SolidWorks, Mastercam, etc.)Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication skillsAbility to demonstrate and apply PD's workplace valuesFlexibility to travel between multiple PD locationsDemonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environmentEducation/CertificationHigh School Diploma or GEDExperience3-5 years of previous experiencePhysical Requirements and Working ConditionsWalking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required throughout the workdayMust be able to climb stairs and stand for extended periods of timeMust be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of timeMust be willing to work OT based on project needs
