About the Position

Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Driver's license Description: Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs. Manage and administer medications as prescribed. Perform nursing procedures such as wound care and IV therapy. Coordinate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Provide emotional support and education to patients and families. Assist in procedures and interventions as necessary. Titrate drips for medications, including cardiac and sedation drips. Read, interpret, and document telemetry strips. Assist with patient care in a fast-paced environment. Participate in departmental meetings and ongoing education. Maintain compliance with all safety and health regulations. Adhere to policies regarding artificial nails for patient care staff. Complete any required examinations during the orientation period. Fulfill weekend and holiday work requirements. May float to other units as needed, maintaining appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios. Ensure all documentation is recorded in the electronic medical record system.
