Key Responsibilities\n

As an LMFT at Myers Counseling Center, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting in-depth assessments of clients' mental health and relationship dynamics, including individual, couple, and family sessions.

• Providing effective interventions for a spectrum of issues such as alcohol abuse, communication difficulties, family conflicts, grief, and adjustment challenges associated with separation or divorce.

• Developing customized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each client and family, consistently reviewing and adjusting these plans as progress is made.
\n
• Facilitating family therapy sessions that delve into the underlying dynamics affecting individual behavior and relationships, promoting healthier communication and coping strategies.
\n
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of session notes and client progress in accordance with clinic policies and applicable laws.
\n
• Participating in regular team meetings to discuss case management strategies, share insights, and collaborate on client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your practice will encompass a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, and families from varied backgrounds. You will address a wide range of issues, including but not limited to the following:

• Alcohol and substance abuse concerns.
\n
• Emotional and psychological abuse.
\n
• Challenges stemming from grief and loss.
\n
• Family dynamics, including sibling conflicts, parent-child issues, and blended family situations.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.

• Extensive experience in providing therapy to couples and families, preferably in a community health setting.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect compassionately and empathetically with clients.

• Effective organizational and time management skills to handle a varied client caseload efficiently.

Preferred Experience\n
